Book Signing or Political Debate?

The Army has chosen not to allow the media to be present for Sarah Palin’s book signing on Fort Bragg Monday.

The Army fears it will turn into a political debate or a way for Palin supporters to voice their concerns with the current president. They want this book signing to remain just what it is. Are they trying to minimize tension between Obama supporters and Palin supporters? or are they trying to reduce the amount of people? Is there fair to Palin? or is it the right thing to do, and the safe thing to do?

Granted, the base is a completely different jurisdiction concerning the meeting but does that mean that what events go on there can be secluded or not covered by journalists? How should the public feel about that?
